House, attached to Post Office on right. Early C18. Colourwashed brick
walls, slate roof, brick and stacks. 2 storeys and cellar. Plat band at
first floor, dentil cornice at eaves. 6-panel door under flat hood on
shaped brackets. Ground floor has 2 sashes with glazing bars and wide
architraves, under gauged arches with projecting keystones. 2 similar
sashes, and a central blind window, on first floor. Lean-to extension at
right end has lower wall of rubble stone. This contains one sash with
glazing bars. (RCHM Monument II Dorset Vol III)
