Attached house. Dated 1573. Walls of flint and stone banding, thatched
roof, one brick stack at right end, and one (shared) at left end. 2
storeys. C20 battened door in moulded 4-centred arched opening. Ground
floor has two 4-light stone mullioned windows under hoodmoulds, with lead
lights - date cut over one window. First floor has 3 similar windows,
without hoodmoulds. C20 range at rear forming double pile plan.
Internally, left ground floor room has large open fireplace with cambered
oak lintel and corbelled stone jambs. Right end room has similar, smaller
fireplace with stone lintel. Several deep chamfered ceiling beams. Good
example of a C16 house. (RCHM Monument 15 Dorset Vol III)
