Probably C17 origin, refaced in C18. Brick walls, thatched roofs, brick stacks.
One storey and attics. No 83 has colourwashed walls. Central entrance with plain
modern oak ledged door. Ground floor has 2 casement windows with lead lights - these
appear modern replacements. Attic has 2 dormers with casements and lead lights.
No 85 has a central entrance with flush panel 4-panel door in a simple classical
surround, with flat hood on shaped brackets. Two casement windows with lead lights.
Attic has 3 dormers with casements and lead lights. Lean-to extension to north.
One original open fireplace. An attractive group. RCHM Monument 57.
