11/33 Fleur-de-Lys Inn

GV II

Inn, C16 much altered at several later dates. Colourwashed brick with tiled
roof. Various later brick extensions. Brickwork said to encase a timber
framework (RCHM). Brick stacks in various locations. L-plan. 2 storeys,
5 window range. 9-pane C19 sashes. 2 C19 pilastered C19 doorways with
part-glazed doors, one near central and one to the right. Ground floor
openings under segmental heads. 2-light casements with glazing bars to the
rear.

Internal features: moulded ceiling beams and other high quality woodwork,
largely reset; according to RCHM the original roof partly with collar-truss
and partly with scissor-bracing is still in place. (RCHM, Dorset, vol. V, p.13,
