2/27 The Old Farmhouse

II

Detached house. Late C18. Brick walls, with dentil cornice at eaves. Tiled
roof with moulded coped gables; brick end stack. 2 storeys and attic. Plat
band at first floor level. Ground and first floors each have 3 C20
cross-pattern windows, under gauged arches, with stone keystones. Attic has 2
hipped dormers with casements with centre horizontal bar. Single storey rear
lean-to, under catslide roof. Entrance in right gable wall, with added porch
(R.C.H.M. Monument 7 Dorset Vol V).
