Detached cottage. C17. Timber framed walls, with mainly brick infilling.
Hipped thatched roof, brick stack at rear. L-shaped plan. One storey and
attic. Left section of front wall weatherboarded. Ledged door in pentice
porch with tiled roof. Ground floor has 3 casements with glazing bars. Attic
has a double dormer - 2 casements with centre horizontal bar. One window with
centre horizontal bar in weatherboarded section. Internally, timber frame,
including roof structure, is basically intact. Large open fireplace in angle
of the 2 wings - largely reconstructed. (R.C.H.M. Monument 11. Dorset Vol
