6/60 Holt Lodge Farmhouse

Farmhouse, early C17 with extensive late C18 rebuilding. Timber frame walls,
partly encased and partly rebuilt in brick. Tiled roof with end brick stacks,
brick gable copings and kneelers. Symmetrical, 2 storeys, 5 bay. Brick plat
band at first floor level. Windows have segmental brick heads. 3-light
casements with glazing bars to the outer bays, similar 2-light casements to
the inner bays. Central glazed double door. Internal features (RCHM): deep
chamfered intersecting beams cased in plaster; C17 oak panelling; original
roof with cambered tie-beam trusses and chamfered purlins with run-out stops;
partition in roof space has doorway with 4-centred head and plank door with
strap hinges having ornamental finials; exposed timber post with chamfered
