Detached cottage - formerly an inn (RCHM). Probably C18, extended to left in
late C18 or early Cl9. Cob walls, - front wall faced in brick; hipped thatched
roof, brick stack at right end. One storey and attic. Section at right end
at lower level, this according to RCHM originally a separate cottage. C20
conservatory at left end - glazed doors inside this. In main part, a C20 oak
door in brick thatched porch. Ground floor has 3 casements with glazing bars
under segmental arches. Attic has 3 dormers with casements with glazing
bars. C20 rear extension, with plastered walls and thatched roof. Some
exposed ceiling beams. (R.C.H.M. Monument 20. Dorset Vol V).
