5/84 Orchard Farm House

GV II

Detached house. Dated - on end gable, 1777. Brick walls in dark brick header
bond with red dressings and stepped eaves cornice. Tiled roof, brick end
stacks. 2 storeys. Part glazed panelled door in plastered surround, covered
by C19 conservatory. Ground floor has 4 sashes with centre glazing bar under
gauged arches with keystones. 5 similar windows on first floor. At left end,
a contemporary rear wing in similar construction. Casements with lead
lights. At right end a later rear wing in matching construction. In left
gabled wall, initials, IC, and date 1777 in dark brick. (R.C.H.M. Monument
