SZ 09 NE RINGWOOD ROAD,
12/41 Longham Bridge
Road bridge across the River Stour. Early C18, replacing a wooden
structure, widened late C18. Ironstone walls, limestone cutwaters, brick
arches (one stone) and parapet wall, with rounded stone capping. There are
eleven (previously thirteen) cambered arches, and the cutwaters are widened
at the top. The present parapet is a continuous wall (the former refuges
now gone); marking the widened roadway. Detached late C20 concrete
footbridge adjoins the east side. RCHM
