Detached farm house. Early C18, enlarged twice in C19 - small C20 addition
on south. Brick walls, thatched roof. Brick stacks with oversailing caps.
L-shaped plan. Original section of 2 storeys and attic -later additions one
storey and attic. Original section has plat band at first floor level. Brick
porch in angle of house, with flat roof and ledged door. Second entrance in
early C19 extension has ledged door in trellised porch. Entrance range has
3 casement windows on ground floor and one an first floor - all with glazing
bars. Projecting wing, on north, has double-hung sash windows on ground
floor and casements on first floor and attic gable - all with glazing bars.
Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace with elliptical
brick arch. Some chamfered ceiling beams. RCHM Monument 36.
