Mid C19. 2 flights of stone steps with pierced traceried balustrading and
square plastered piers with moulded caps. Beyond these - to the north-west,
3 pairs of similar but detached piers. Designed as a formal approach to the
Tower from the terrace at rear of the House. RCHM Monument 3.
