Detached farmhouse. Mid C18, enlarged in C19 and C20. Brick walls in
header bond, with dentil cornice at eaves. Tiled roof, brick end stacks
with oversailing caps. 2 storeys and attics. Central panelled door under
flat hood on shaped-brackets. Ground floor has 2 casement windows with
glazing bars, under gauged arches with keystones. First floor has 3 similar
windows. Attic has 2 hipped dormers with top-hung lights with glazing bars
and shaped cover fillets to jambs. Lower 2-storeyed wing on west in matching
style has 2 casement windows with glazing bars on each floor, and a blocked
doorway. Internally, present kitchen (original parlour) has a C18 moulded
cornice. Original kitchen - now dining room - has large open fireplace. Cut
string stair with shaped spandril brackets. Room over kitchen has a C18 fire-
place surround flanked by recesses with panelled arched surrounds. Front
boundary wall of brick, with plain coping. RCHM Monument 15.
