Parish Church. C14 origin, partly rebuilt and enlarged in C19. Stone walls - roofs
part tiled, part stone slated. Gabled roofs with parapets. Nave, south aisle of
three bays, chancel with organ chamber on south, west tower, north porch. Nave,
porch and tower C14, chancel, aisle and organ chamber C19.
Tower of two stages, the lower stage with angle buttresses. Small slit windows in
north and south walls of lower stage - that in south wall built up. Two-light late
C14 window in west wall. Upper stage - (belfry) has C14 2-light windows. Parapet
with battlements.
North porch has moulded C14 arch to doorway. North wall of nave has square-headed
C14 windows of two and three lights - part renewed in C19. Chancel, rebuilt in C19
has re-used C14 traceried 3-light window in east wall, and 2-light windows in north
and south walls.
Internally, all roofs C19, of pine. C12 font, of plain cylindrical form. Several
C18 monuments in base of tower. Other internal fittings all C19. Churchyard
contains several C18 headstones and one table tomb with ornamental iron railings
RCHM Monument 1.
