CHALDON HERRING
Stables at The Manor House

(Formerly listed as Stables at The Grange, 4 metres south of the house, EAST CHALDON)

Large stable range south of, and parallel to the house, linked to it by brick walls, forming a courtyard. Probably C18 but may occupy site of earlier range. Brick and stone walls. Low-pitched corrugated iron roofs. Originally of two storeys; most of the intermediate floor now removed. Projecting block on north, with stone walls and tiled roof.
Internally, some old stable partitions remain.
