The Castle Inn

Public house. Probably C18. Plastered walls, thatched roof, brick stacks. One
storey and attics. Main block facing road has weatherboarded porch with thatched
roof. Also one flush panelled door. Ground floor has four double-hung sash windows
with glazing bars. Attic has four half-dormers, two with horizontally sliding
sashes, two with casements, all with glazing bars. Porch-type extension at west end
of facade, with thatched roof. West elevation has modern two-storeyed canted bay
window with casements - tile-hung between windows. Large modern extension at rear.
Interior much altered.
