SY 97 NE LANGTON MATRAVERS ACTON

4/8 Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Acton Vale

GV II

Terrace of 3 cottages. Probably late C18. Rubble stone walls, stone slate
roofs, stone stacks along ridge. 2 storeys. No. 1 at left end, has 2 lean-to
extensions - one a porch with part-glazed door. Ground and first floors each
have one casement window with centre glazing bars. Main ground floor room
has large open fireplace with stone lintol. No. 2 has part-glazed door.
Ground and first floors each have one casement window with centre glazing bar.
First floor also has a small fixed window. No. 3 set forward from No. 2. Small
stone porch. Ground floor has a C20 bow window with glazing bars. First floor
has one casement window with lead lights. At right end, a projecting wing
of one storey and attic has one C20 casement window. Largely unaltered, in
the context of other modified properties.
