SZ 0078 LANGTON MATRAVERS COOMBE HILL (South Side)

7/17 Box Cottage

GV II

Detached cottage - formerly one of a pair - the other demolished. C17, altered
in C19. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, rebuilt brick end stacks.
2 storeys. Single-storey lean-to additions each end, that on left with concrete
tiled roof, that on right with stone slate roof. Ledged door. Ground floor
has one stone mullioned window with hoodmould, and one casement window with
horizontal glazing bars. First floor has 2 similar casement windows. Front
boundary wall of stone, with irregular coping. RCHM Monument 14. (Dorset
