SY 9978 LANGTON MATRAVERS HIGH STREET (North Side)

6/33 Court Pound, including
boundary and garden walls

Detached cottage. Probably C17. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, brick
end stacks. L-shaped plan. One storey and attic. Projecting wing has, on
end wall, one casement window with glazing bars on each floor, and a projecting
stone stack. Lean-to porch on left of this, with studded door. Lean-to
extension on right, with catslide roof. In main range, ground floor has one
casement window with glazing bars. Attic has one pent-roofed dormer with
similar casements. Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace
with cambered timber lintol. Some chamfered ceiling beams. Dry stone boundary
and qarden walls, east, west and south of house. A National Trust property.
