6/35 The King's Arms Inn

GV II

Public house at end of terrace. Probably late C18. Colourwashed rubble
stone walls, stone slate roof, stone end and centre stacks, part plastered
and raised in brick. 2 storeys and attic. Gabled porch with stone slate
roof and part-glazed door. Second, part-glazed ledged door and pair of
doors in larger elliptical-arched opening. Ground floor has 2 casement
windows with glazing bars and shutters. First floor has 3 casement windows
with glazing bars. Attic has one C20 dormer with casements. Lean-to
extension at rear with slate roof. RCHM Monument 16 (Dorset Vol. II).
