SY 9978 LANGTON MATRAVERS HIGH STREET (South Side)

GV II

Cottage attached to village hall. Probably contemporary with hall. c1845.
Similar in design to No. 55. Rubble stone walls, hipped slate roof. Stone
stack with moulded cap on right wall. L-shaped plan - main range at right
angles to road. Panelled door. Ground floor has one sash window with
glazing bars - this and door under shaped stone lintols. First floor has
one sash window with glazing bars. Rear wing, of similar construction, has
a C20 single-storey extension with asbestos slate roof. Stone boundary wall
along road. Included for group value.
