east of Thomas Hobson monument
in the churchyard of Church of
Saint Nicholas

GV II

Stone table tomb to various members of the Bankes family - first recorded date
of death 1855. In Norman style. Top with chamfered edge with inscription.
Sides panelled with blank arcading - round arches, semi-circular piers with
scalloped caps. Inscriptions on sides to various members of the family.
Carved coat of arms on west face. Surrounded by cast iron railings with
fleurs-de-lys finials. Included for connection with the Bankes family.
