immediately south-east of
Brownsea Castle

GV II

Walls and steps to raised terrace, incorporating the gun platform of the C16
blockhouse. Altered c1852. Upper terrace wall of rough ashlar. Stone steps
to lower terrace with solid balustrade and square piers with moulded caps.
Lower terrace wall of brick, with stone steps leading to beach level. A
National Trust property. RCHM Monument 3 (Dorset Vol. II).
