(Marked as South Shore Lodge on OS Map). Detached cottage. Late C18 origin
(RCHM) altered in C19. Plastered walls, tiled roof with overhanging bargeboards
to gables and ornamental ridge. Plastered stacks. T-shaped plan. In 'cottage
orne' style. 2 storeys. Central flush door. Ground floor has two 2-light
windows with arched lights and ornamental glazing. First floor has 3 similar
windows, with shutters, under projecting gables. A National Trust property.
