SY 97NE WORTH MATRAVERS WESTON

4/113 Weston and Weston Cottage,
including boundary walls to
south and east

Pair of houses. C18 origin, extended in C19. Rubble stone walls, stone
slate roofs, brick and stone stacks. Weston, of one storey and attics, has
brick stack onfront wall. Brick gabled porch with tiled roof and ledged
door. Ground floor has 3 casement windows with glazing bars, under stone
arches. Attic has 3 pent-roofed dormers with similar casements. C19 extension
at left end has a sash window on qround floor and one under eaves. At south
gable, a circular bow window with sashes on ground floor, and plain sash over.
Weston Cottage, of one storey and basement has ledged door. Ground floor
has 3 casement windows with glazing bars. Basement has 2 similar windows.
Stone boundary walls to east and south. RCHM Monument 14 (Dorset Vol II).
