Detached cottage - formerly 2 cottages. C17 origin, but considerably
reconstructed in C20. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, stone stacks,
L-shaped plan. Part 2 storeys, part one storey and attic. Projecting wing
at left end has ½-hipped roof. Added porch, with ½-hipped roof has C20 oak
door, and a stone mullioned window with casements with glazing bars. In gable
wall, one casement window with glazing bars on each floor. Main range to right
has lean-to extension at right end. Part-glazed stable door. Ground floor has
2 casement windows with glazing bars. First floor has one similar window.
Attic has one pent-roofed dormer with casements. Large C20 glazed extension
at rear. RCHM Monument 5 (Dorset Vol II).
