Farmhouse and stables. Farmhouse probably late C18. Stables C19. House has rubble
stone walls with brick dressings. Stone slate roof, brick stacks on ridge. 2 storeys
and attic. Panelled door - upper panel glazed with bordered panes, under flat hood
on timber brackets. Ground floor has 4 windows with horizontal glazing, under
brick arches. First floor has 4 similar windows and a blank recess between the
2 inner windows. Attic has 3 gabled dormers with horizontal sliding sashes with
lead lights. 2 storey rear wing has roof part replaced in corrugated asbestos.
Also a rear lean-to extension, part stone, part brick, under catslide roof.
Internally, some ceiling beams with plaster mouldings. At right end of house, a
stone wall with one opening and one blocked opening connects the house to a stable,
with coursed rubble stone walls and stone slate roof with coped gables. Single
storey. Ledged door, and casements with cast iron lattice glazing. Interior not
inspected.
