CORFE CASTLE LANGTON ROAD, KINGSTON

Group of farm buildings. Probably early C19. Main barn and cart shed at right
angles to road, has rubble stone walls and stone slate roof. On east elevation,
at left end, 3 segmental stone arches, on stone piers, forming cart shed. In barn
section to right, hipped cart porch. On west elevation, stone steps lead up to
loft door in gabled dormer. Barn section of 7 bays, with queen post roof.
Attached to barn, at rear a single-storey range, parallel to road, of rubble
stone with stone slate roof -probably former cowshed. All openings appear C20.
Adjoining road, enclosing the yard a former stable range with rubble stone walls
and corrugated asbestos roof, at 2 levels. To openings facing road. Facing yard,
one ledged door, and window openings filled with corrugated iron.
