House, part used as shop. Early Cl7. Plastered walls, stone slate roof,
diagonally set brick stack at right end. One storey and attic. C19 - early C20
projecting shop front with timber framing and fascia. Attic has 3 gabled dormers
with sashes with vertical glazing bars. Internally, in shop, a large open fire-
place with moulded stone 4-centred arch - has been altered to form a doorway.
Some chamfered ceiling beams. A National Trust property. (RCHM, Monument 19.
Dorset. Vol. II).
