Piers, wall , railings and gate. Probably early C18 gate; C19 piers, wall
and railings. Stone piers and wall; wrought-iron gate and railings.

Low 30-metre-long wall. End piers have chamfered arrises and rounded tops.
Tall central gate has double rails at bottom and middle infilled by linked
scrolls; shaped lock plate. Gate panels have delicate bifurcated scrolls with
some foliage and flower motifs; heart-shaped upper panel, partly enclosing
later roundel with monogram D (for Earl of Durham),surmounted by scrolled
crest. Hanging and meeting posts have spike finials and scrolled supports to
flanking lower railings. Railings have double rails at bottom and top infilled
by scrollwork; alternating panels with interlacing scrolls and with wavy and
straight bars.
