10/8 Gate towers and walls on
west side of stable yard,
15m north of the Castle
GV II

Two gate towers and section of embattled wall attached to north. Probably early
C19. Partly-rendered limestone rubble. Gothick style. Square-plan towers,
flanking west entrance to stable yard, have chamfered mid-wall band with blank
quatrefoils below and small cross loops and battlements above. Embattled wall
has similar features and canted north-west corner. Included for group value.
Lean-to buildings, in stable yard, not of special interest.
