House. Mid C18 with early C19 alterations. Pebble-dashed masonry and chimneys;
renewed pantiled roofs. Rear service wing attached to right. 2-storey entrance
front of 6 unevenly-spaced bays has low plinth and raised quoins. Pedimented
doorcase with pulvinated frieze, in third bay, has early C19 door with 4 vertical
panels. 12-pane sashes with projecting sills and lintels. Hipped roof has
slightly-swept eaves and 3 ridge chimneys. 5-bay left return has large plinth,
raised quoins to right and mainly 12-pane sashes. 5-bay right return has
parapet; early C19 shallow 2-storey bow to left with 3 elongated 15-pane sashes
to each floor; 2 upper windows retain wrought-iron balconies. Boarded windows
and slightly-projecting gabled end bay, with lateral stack, to right. Irregular
rear has Venetian stair window. Single-storey, 5-bay service wing has boarded
windows and steeply-pitched roof with hipped end.

Interior has mid C18 3-flight cut-string open-well staircase with turned
balusters and moulded handrail. Entrance hall has moulded wall panels and
enriched late C18 chimney-piece. Several 6-panel doors in architraves and
3-panel window shutters. Stair window has Palladian motif and angular capitals.

Late C20 rear addition not of special interest.
