Headstone. 1799 to Thomas Johnson. Sandstone. 1.5 metres high with shaped
top. 2 sunk panels containing low-relief carvings: Doctor's bag in left
panel; surgical instruments (gloves, forceps, razors and saw) in right panel.
Inscription reads:
To the Memory of Thomas
Johnson of This Parish who
Died June The 29. Year 1799.
Aged 75.
What I was once some may relate
What I am now is all Mens Fate
What I shall be none can explain
Till He that call'd doth call again.
