Lamp-post dated 1863. Cast iron. Thin tapering post with reeded, cylindrical
lower half and octagonal-section upper half. Several necking bands with
various decorative motifs in relief (lion-masks, gadrooning, spear-shaped
leaves etc.). Scrolled base on cross-plan plinth bearing now-illegible
manufacturer's name in oval panel. Double-scrolled ladder-rests flanking a
knop with 1863 in raised letters. Glazed, square-plan lantern with outward-
sloping panes and cylindrical top vent with acorn finial.
