Farmhouse, now 2 private dwellings. Early-mid C18 with early C19 alterations.
Rendered rubble ground floor with narrow hand-made brick, in irregular English
garden wall bond, above. Welsh slate roofs with C19 brick chimney stacks.
L-plan: main block with wing at right-angles on right rear. 3 storeys, 3 bays
with plinth and flush rendered quoins. Central 4-panel door (to No. 1) and
fanlight in open-pedimented door-case. C19 window openings with projecting
stone sills flanked by blocked original openings: replaced sashes on ground
floor, 16-pane sashes on first floor and smaller 9-pane sashes above. Eaves
raised in C19 above projecting brick course. Steeply-pitched roof with
transverse end stacks. Small blocked diamond-shaped opening, possibly a
closet window, on first floor on right return. 3-storey, one-bay rear wing
has C19 canted bay window and replaced door (to No. 2) on ground floor,
replaced sashes above and a steeply-pitched roof with end stack. Altered
2-storey, 4-bay outshut on left rear of main block. Interior of No. 2 has
early C19 open-well staircase with late C19 balusters and handrail. Former
stable, now s house (No. 3), on rear of wing is altered and not of special
interest.
