Road bridge over railway. 1848 for Great North of England Railway. Rock-
faced sandstone with ashlar dressings and parapet. Impost band below segmental
arch with stepped voussoirs, flanked by battered abutments. Band at road-bed
level continues around shallow pilasters flanking arch and rising to rectangular
piers at swept parapet ends. Corniced low gabled coping, hipped on piers.
