Parish church, now at time of survey in process of conversion to house. 1902
by W.S. Hicks. Timber frame with weatherboard cladding; plain tiled roof,
with weather-boarded fleche. L-plan. Continuous nave and chancel with south
vestry and north porch. A-frame construction of equilateral triangles, the
principals tied by T-section iron set in concrete sill. Secondary framework
has sill beam set in from angle of truss and supporting walls, with top plate
resting on truss and forming eaves.
Present entrance by boarded door in east wall of vestry. Gabled north porch
in fifth bay has similar door under shaped head, painted 'St. Andrew's Ludworth'
and cross finial, flanked by tall slender posts in Perpendicular style.
2-light windows in 4-bay nave; blank east wall; Perpendicular tracery in
4-light west window; plainer 4-light window in vestry under south gable.
Roof has similar tracery in 2-light windows of gabled roof lights to chancel.
West bellcote, set back from gable, has sloping sides supporting high pyramid,
with plain corner timbers under fliche with swept feet. All gables bargeboarded,
those over porch and vestry with slender cross finials.
Interior shows some tongue-and-groove cladding; roof with 2 collars, some
reset at new level to accommodate inserted floor. Belfry frame on crossed
