Milestone. C19. Sandstone painted white. Single square-plan stone, about
0.75 metre high, with rounded top. Incised sans-serif letters painted black:
BOWES 8 on north-east face; DURHAM 21 on north-west face; 8 on south-east and
south-west faces. O.S.B.M. on top.
