Chest tomb. Circa 1500, to Sir William Pudsey and his wife Elizabeth. Weather-
worn grey limestone slab on low sides. South and east sides have raised central
shields. Single slab has chamfered upper arris with raised inscription in
Gothic lettering: HIC IACEUT DNS WILLMS PUDCEY MILES ET ELIZABETH UXOR EIUS
QUORU' AIARU PROPICIETUR DEUS AMEN. Later inscription cut into slab:
WILLIAM CRADOCK ESQR DIED THE 6TH OF JULY 1736 AGED (illegible).
