Substantial farmhouse. Mid C18 garden front backs onto probably early Cl9
entrance front. Roughcast sandstone rubble with dressed quoins; two-span
roof of sandstone flags; mainly rebuilt chimneys of brick. Garden front:
2 storeys, 5 bays; raised and chamfered quoins; window openings in stepped and
raised surrounds; ground floor has part-glazed 6-panel door in second bay from
left and three 6-pane sashes; first floor has four 16-pane sashes and a 6-pane
sash to right. Steeply-pitched roof with low coped gable parapet and shaped
kneelers; two end stacks and one ridge stack. Entrance front: 2 storeys,
5 irregular bays; fenestration mainly renewed except for two 16-pane sashes
and a round-arched mid-wall staircase window. Low-pitched roof with flat-coped
gables. 2 end stacks and one ridge stack.

Wall,about 3.5 metres long, attached to left of entrance front, runs north and
has semicircular arch with raised keystone, impost blocks and wide coping.

Single-storey outbuildings attached to right return of entrance front not of
special interest.
