Probably a pack-horse bridge. Mid C18 with later abutments and partly-rebuilt
parapet. Dressed sandstone arch and tunnel; rubble walls and parapet.

Both faces similar. 2-order segmental arch,with set-back voussoirs,flanked by
later abutments. Raking parapet with splayed ends. Pathway narrows to about
2.0 metres above centre of arch. Inscribed slab, now illegible, set in centre
of west parapet.

This bridge straddles the parishes of Bowes and Lartington.
