II
House. Mid C18 with late C19 alterations. Squared rubble right section, dressed
stone left section, rendered returns and rear. Stone-flagged roof and stone
chimney stacks.

2 storeys, 3 bays and left bay, formerly a stable, raised in late C19. Low
plinth; flush quoins at ends and junction. Central partly-glazed 6-panel door
in projecting, chamfered doorway. Blank bay above door. Flanking replaced
4-pane sashes in projecting tooled surrounds. Left section has identical sashes
with projecting sills and flush lintels. Roof with coped gables and shaped
kneelers. End stacks and ridge stack, above junction, with top bands and water
tables. Continuous rear outshut.

Interior. Dining-room fireplace with large lintel on corbelled jambs. Late
C18 cast-iron grate with bowed centre and panelled, ornamented sides in right
bedroom. Similar grate with cruder detail in central bedroom.

This building should not be confused with Brook Lea House at north end of East
Green.
