Milestone. Probably mid C18. Painted sandstone ashlar. Square-section block,
about 1/3 metre high, with black painted 'D10' on tooled side facing road,
and 'S1' painted on south, for Darlington and Staindrop. Incised 'Darlington
10' on north and'Staindrop 1' on east faces are painted white as is stone.
