NZ 11 SW WYCLIFFE WITH THORPE THORPE

outbuilding to
north-west of
Thorpe Hall

GV II


Garden wall and outbuilding. Early C18 altered in second half of C19. Walls
roughly-coursed rubble, garden wall refaced with pale yellow brick in English
Garden Wall Bond 1 & 3; cut dressings. Graduated stone slate roof on
outbuilding.

Garden wall 4 metres high with flat stone coping. 4-panel door under wood
tympanum in arch with rusticated surround. Outbuilding to rear has C20
sliding door under 6-panel loft door with re-set medieval bishop's-head
hoodmould stop above. 2 boarded doors on left return; monopitch roof. To
right a short attached wall with old flush-panelled door in rusticated
surround.

Altered farmbuilding range to west is not of interest.
