Service wing and yard entrance arch to Hamsterley House (q.v.); now separate
dwelling. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and some quoins;
house roof graduated stone flags with left stone gable coping; archway roof
pantiles with stone-flagged eaves. House 2 storeys, 3 irregular bays; high
one-bay archway attached at left. House has flat stone lintels over C20 door
to left of centre, and flanking C20 3-light casements with glazing bars. 2
first-floor 2-light casements in similar style have projecting stone sills,
and lintels obscured by eaves. Segmental arch at left with voussoirs in wall
to slightly lower eaves level. Continuous ridge over archway and house, with
high corniced chimney to right of centre.
