17/161 Podge Hole bridge
and wall with
tail race
Bridge and retaining wall with mill tail race opening. Sandstone rubble in
dry construction; ashlar lintel to tail race. Rough voussoirs form segmental
bridge arch under hump-backed parapets with oblique coping. Similar coping
to retaining wall at right-angles to south-east corner of bridge; tail race
opening to stream c.2 metres from bridge.
