Gate piers and piers north of Church of St Charles

3 gate piers, vehicle gates and kissing gate. Probably c.1870 by J.A. Hansom
and Son. Sandstone ashlar piers; wrought iron gates. Square piers, with
plinths and corniced pyramidal copings, flank vehicle and pedestrian entrances.
Vehicle gates are square-section iron, with scrolls flanking pointed heads;
twisted upper sections; pointed dogbars; principals with incised decoration
and tendril terminals. Kissing gate has plain uprights and circular-section
principals.
