A timber-framed and plastered house of C17 origin, built on an L-shaped
plan. Much altered in the C19 and later, with C19 additions to the south and
east ends. Renovated in the C20. 2 storeys. 4 window range, casements with
glazing bars (C20). There is a bay window on the ground storey at the west
end. Roof tiled, hipped at the east and west ends. A circular moat remains
on the south, east and west sides of the house. (RCHM 9).
