Lowleys Farmhouse

A timber-framed and plastered house of Cl7 origin, much altered and renovated.
There are later additions at the rear. 2 storeys. C20 casement windows. There
is a gabled wing on the east side with a jettied upper storey. Roof tiled, with
an original central chimney stack with 3 diagonally set shafts, The interior
has some exposed timber framing, ceiling beams and joists. (RCHM 9 Gt Leighs).
