A C18 or early C19 timber-framed and plastered house, gabled at the south
end with a long sloping roof at the rear and with shared bargeboards.
2 storeys. 2 window range on the west front, double-hung sashes with glazing
bars. No 54A has a corner entrance= with 2 small flanking C19 shop windows.

Nos 54A, 54 and 56 form a group with No 11.
